The Iran (Sanctions) (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations are made under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 (c. 13) to amend the Iran (Sanctions) Regulations 2023 (S.I. 2023/1314). These Regulations provide for new trade sanctions measures in relation to Iran.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State, considering that the condition in section 45(2) of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018is met, makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1)(c), 5, 15(2)(a), 17, 19, 20, 45, and 54(2) of, and paragraphs 2(b), 4(b) and (c), 5(a)(ii) and (b), 6(a)(ii) and (b), 11(a)(ii), 13(b), (h), (k), (l), (m), (n) and (w), 14(a), (f) and (k), 17(a), 19(a), and 20 to 23 of Schedule 1 to, that Act.
