The Energy Bills Discount Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend the Energy Bills Discount Scheme Regulations 2023 (S.I. 2023/453) (the “EBDS Regulations”) and the Energy Bills Discount Scheme (Northern Ireland) Regulations 2023 (S.I. 2023/454) (“the EBDS NI Regulations”).

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(1) and (2) and 11(1) and (2) of, and paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 and paragraph 4 of Schedule 2 to, the Energy Prices Act 2022. In accordance with sections 9(6), 11(6) and 26(4) of that Act, a draft of these Regulations was laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
