The Electricity Supplier Payments (Amendment) Regulations 2026
These Regulations make amendments to the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/2014) (the “ESO Regulations”); the Electricity Capacity (Supplier Payment etc.) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/3354) (the “Supplier Payment Regulations”); and the Nuclear Regulated Asset Base Model (Revenue Collection) Regulations 2023 (S.I. 2023/254) (the “Revenue Collection Regulations”).

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6(1) and (6), 9(1) and (2), 27, 30, and 40(1) of the Energy Act 2013; and sections 15(1) and (5) and 19(1) and (2) of the Nuclear Energy (Financing) Act 2022. The Secretary of State has before making these Regulations— consulted the persons listed in sections 24(1) and 40(2) of the Energy Act 2013 and section 25(1) of Nuclear Energy (Financing) Act 2022, and had regard to the matters in section 5(2) of the Energy Act 2013. A draft of this instrument was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with sections 6(8) and 40(5) of the Energy Act 2013 and section 15(7) of the Nuclear Energy (Financing) Act 2022.
