These Regulations amend the Contracts for Difference (Electricity Supplier Obligations) Regulations 2014 (S.I. 2014/2014) (the “ESO Regulations”).

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6(1), (5) and (6), 9(1), (2) and (6) and 17(1) and (2) of the Energy Act 2013. The Secretary of State has consulted the persons listed in section 24(1) of that Act and has had regard to the matters in section 5(2) of that Act. In accordance with section 6(8)(b) of that Act, a draft of this instrument was laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
