Pass a law to make it illegal for an elected official to lie to the public.
There should be a law punishable by a penalty of at least 10, but not more than, 15 years imprisonment for any elected official to knowingly make an untrue statement to the electorate of the UK.

Background
There have been a many examples in the last year, and previously, of elected representatives of the public lying to the said public. This practice, commonly known as gaslighting, should be made illegal and such public officials should be held accountable for it.
