A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement: proposed scheme

Proposals extending from the A14 at Ellington to the Cambridge Northern Bypass at Milton, to include:

• widening a 4.5 mile section of the A1 trunk road between Brampton and Alconbury
• removing the road viaduct over the railway at Huntingdon
• a new bypass to the south of Huntingdon
• detrunking the A14 between Ellington and Swavesey
• widening the carriageway on the A14 between Swavesey and Girton
• nearly 7 miles of new local access roads
• improvements to the Cambridge Northern Bypass
• junction improvements
