NATS licence changes: reporting conditions and 'specified services'

Seeks views on amending reporting conditions and definitions of 'specified services' in the NATS (en route) plc licence.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is seeking feedback on proposals to amend the NATS (en route) plc (NERL) licence. The proposals include modifications to:

  • a number of conditions so that NERL’s regulatory reporting is generally done on a calendar year rather than a financial year basis
  • certain conditions to harmonise more closely with CAA and EC reporting requirements
  • schedule 4 of the NERL licence which defines a number of ‘specified services’, or support and ancillary services, that NERL is required to make available under its licence
