The proposed changes to extend the NATS (En-Route) plc licence termination notice period from 10 years to 15 years will further the duty of the Secretary of State for Transport to:
- promote efficiency and economy on the part of NATS En-route Limited (NERL)
- secure that NERL does not find it unduly difficult to finance activities authorised by its licence
