The School and Early Years Finance (England) Regulations 2026
These Regulations make provision for local authorities’ financial arrangements in relation to the funding of maintained schools and providers of funded early years provision in England, for the financial year 2026-2027.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 45(1B), 45A, 45AA, 47, 47ZA, 47A(4), (4B) and (5), 48(1) and (2), 49(2) and (2A), and 138(7)of, and paragraphs 1and 2Bof Schedule 14 to, the School Standards and Framework Act 1998, section 24(3) and (4)of the Education Act 2002and sections 99(1) and 104(2) of the Childcare Act 2006.
