The Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records and Registration) (Guernsey) (Amendment) Regulations 2012
These Regulations revoke regulation 10 of the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records and Registration) (Guernsey) Regulations 2009 which prescribed which police forces were “relevant” police forces for the purposes of providing information to be disclosed on an enhanced criminal record certificate under section 113B of the Police Act 1997 (c. 50). Under changes made by section 82(3) of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (c. 9), which is extended to Guernsey by S.I. 2012/1762, police forces no longer need to be prescribed, rather the Secretary of State will determine the relevant chief officer in relation to the certificate.
