Enabling power
The Secretary of State has had regard, in so far as it relates to the pollution of the sea by oil, to the provisions of the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic 1992 (including its Annexes) signed in Paris on 22nd September 1992, in accordance with section 1(2) of the Prevention of Oil Pollution Act 1971.
