The Human Fertilisation and Embryology (Amendment) Regulations 2024
These Regulations amend Schedule 3A to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 (c. 37) (“the 1990 Act”). Schedule 3A relates to the technical requirements for the donation, procurement and testing of human tissues and cells.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 42A(4) and (5) and 45(3) and (3A) of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990and section 8C(1)(c), (2) and (5) of, and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to, the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018. A draft of this instrument has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament, in accordance with section 45(4) and (4A)of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 and paragraph 8F(1)of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.
