The Human Fertilisation and Embryology (Amendment) Regulations 2018
These Regulations amend the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990 (“the 1990 Act”) to implement Directive 2015/565 (“the coding Directive”) of the European Commission, laying down technical requirements for the coding of tissues and cells and Directive 2015/566 (“the fourth Directive”) of the European Commission, setting out procedures for verifying standards of quality and safety of imported tissues and cells. These Regulations apply in relation to gametes and embryos intended for use in human application.

Enabling power
