The Firefighters’ Pension Scheme (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2026

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 1(1) and (2)(f), 2(1), 3(1), (2)(a) and (3)(a) and (c) of, and paragraph 6(a) of Schedule 2 and paragraph 9(a) and (b) of Schedule 3 to, the Public Service Pensions Act 2013. In accordance with section 22(2)(a) of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted with representatives of such persons as appear likely to be affected by these Regulations, with a view to reaching agreement with them. In accordance with section 22(2)(b) of that Act, the Secretary of State has laid a report before Parliament. In accordance with section 3(5) of that Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury.
