These Regulations make amendments to subordinate civil and criminal legal aid legislation under Part 1 of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (c. 10) (“the Act”).

The Lord Chancellor makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 2(3), 12(2) and (3), 14(h), 21(2) to (4), 23(1) and (6), and 41(1) to (3) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012.
