The Asylum Seekers (Reception Conditions) (Amendment) Regulations 2026
These Regulations amend the Asylum Seekers (Reception Conditions) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/7) by omitting regulation 5, which relates to the provision of accommodation and support to asylum seekers and their families. The Asylum Seekers (Reception Conditions) Regulations 2005 are secondary assimilated law within the meaning of section 12(2) of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 (c. 28).

the 2023 Act The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 (“”). The Secretary of State is a relevant national authority for the purposes of section 14(1) of the 2023 Act. In accordance with paragraph 5(5) of Schedule 5 to the 2023 Act, a draft of these Regulations has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
