The Adoption Agencies (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2020

These Regulations amend the Adoption Agencies (Wales) Regulations 2005 (“the Principal Regulations”) which make provision relating to the exercise by adoption agencies (local authorities and registered adoption societies) of their functions in relation to adoption under the Adoption and Children Act 2002.

The Welsh Ministers, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(1)(a), 11(2) and (3), 12, 45(1), 54, 83(4) and (5), 140(7) and (8) and 142(5) of the Adoption and Children Act 2002and sections 174(7) and 196(2) of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, make the following Regulations:
