The A1 in Northumberland: Morpeth to Ellingham Development Consent (Revocation) Order 2025
This Order revokes the A1 in Northumberland: Morpeth to Ellingham Development Consent Order 2024 (“the DCO”), a Development Consent Order made under the Planning Act 2008 (“the Act”). This Order follows the Secretary of State giving notice of an intention to revoke the DCO pursuant to paragraph 3(7)(b) of Schedule 6 to the Act.

The Secretary of State, in accordance with the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011, gave notice of the intention to consider making an Order to revoke the A1 in Northumberland: Morpeth to Ellingham Development Consent Order 2024. The Secretary of State, having considered the responses to the publicity carried out in accordance with regulations 55 and 56 of the Infrastructure Planning (Changes to, and Revocation of, Development Consent Orders) Regulations 2011, has decided that there are exceptional circumstances that make it appropriate to exercise the power to make this Order revoking the A1 in Northumberland: Morpeth to Ellingham Development Consent Order 2024 without an application to do so being made. The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by paragraph 3(1) and (7)(b) of Schedule 6 to the Planning Act 2008, makes the following Order.
