Schedule 1 to the Care Act 2014 makes provision to ensure that where a local authority in England, Wales or Scotland, or a Health and Social Care trust in Northern Ireland makes arrangements for the provision to an adult of residential accommodation in another of those territories, in general, this does not result in the transfer of that authority’s responsibility for that adult.
