Schedule 1 to the Care Act 2014 (“the Act”) makes provision to ensure that where a local authority in England, Wales or Scotland, or a Health and Social Care trust in Northern Ireland (“an HSC trust”) places an adult in residential accommodation in another of those territories, in general, this does not result in the transfer of that authority’s responsibility for that adult.
