Background
"In the UK, no citizen is above the law—yet a legal loophole remains for the most serious of all international crimes. Currently, a leader can plan an illegal war without facing the same domestic justice as those who commit war crimes on the battlefield.
By recognising the crime of aggression, we ensure that those in power are held to the same standards of accountability as any other citizen.
