Improve access to Parliament’s work for people with learning difficulties
We want the Government and Parliament to change so that we can participate in their work. We want to change the law in the Equality Act so that this must happen. See this petition in Easy Read: https://www.inclusionlondon.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Parliament-E-petition.pdf

Background
We find it very hard to have a voice in Parliament when they want our views about the following
• new laws
• Government departments’ work
• Big issues that Government and Parliament should know about
We want the Government to work with people with learning difficulties led groups to look at how we can access information and tell the government what we think about:
1) new laws
2) Government departments’ work
3) Parliament’s work
4) big issues that Government and parliament should know about
