Free menstrual products to be available in all public spaces in the UK
Around 2.8 million people in the UK experience period poverty. Access to free products is inconsistent, with many public toilets still charging per single item. This can mean missed work, sport and education. Legislation is needed to ensure free standard menstrual products in public spaces.

Background
Scotland has introduced nationwide provision under the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021. In England and Wales, provision is patchy and varies widely between schools, workplaces and other public venues (shopping centres, airports etc.). A national requirement would reduce inequality, support participation in work and sport, and ensure no one is excluded from public life due to menstruation.
