Fund increased access to menstrual products to address period poverty
The government should expand free menstrual product programs beyond schools and colleges to include community centres, food banks, and other public spaces. We believe menstruation has effectively become a luxury that countless individuals simply cannot afford.

Background
One survey suggests that period poverty affects over 2.8 million people in the UK. It can cause a real health impact, physical and mental, since many menstruating individuals can be forced to withdraw from education, work, and social life. We think the example from Scotland shows that legislation for free menstrual product provision is achievable and sustainable. Therefore, we believe Westminster should also legislate on this issue.
