Background
Many crossings are clearly designed for pedestrian use but lack zebra markings, meaning drivers often do not stop. This can create unsafe and confusing situations and make pedestrian priority feel optional. We believe where crossing infrastructure exists, pedestrians must have priority by default, especially in busy urban and residential areas, including near parks and schools.
