Qualification requirements for people working on street works
Removing the need for street works operatives and supervisors to hold specific qualifications, and allowing employers to decide on suitable training.

Detail
We are inviting views on proposals arising from the Red Tape Challenge to remove the current requirement for street works operatives and supervisors to hold specific qualifications, and instead allow employers to determine suitable training. The government believes this would end the inappropriate ‘layering’ of regulations, given that safety and reinstatement standards are already regulated by statutory codes of practice.
