Weights and Measures (Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2014

This consultation seeks views on the draft Weights and Measures (Food) (Amendment) Regulations 2014, which will amend national pre-packed food quantity labelling legislation in accordance with EU Regulation on food information to consumers (1169/2011) (FIC). This draft Statutory Instrument will remove overlapping or conflicting national requirements which are directly applicable under FIC which take effect on 13 December 2014.

This consultation also seeks views on the accompanying draft guidance, which provides an explanation of existing law, the FIC, main changes and an explanation of each draft Regulation.
