MOD second approach to the implementation of directive 2009/81/EC

This is the second stage of the consultation process (the first taking place between December 2009 and March 2010).

The first consultation elicited stakeholders’ views on a number of optional elements in the new directive. These views are contained in this second consultation document.

Most of the policy outcomes have now been decided as a result of the first consultation. This second consultation does not re-open those choices, rather it opens up the opportunity for comments on a number of outstanding questions regarding implementation of the new directive.
