There are no plans to remove crown immunity for claims against the MOD for those that left Service before 1987. These veterans are entitled to make a claim under the War Pension Scheme.

Background
Currently Veterans who served after 1987 may be able to claim against the MOD for damage to their hearing.
We think it is grossly unfair that their colleagues who left before 1987 are prevented from claiming. They made the same sacrifices serving their country and deserve the same rights to claim compensation.
