Local government pension scheme: proposed changes to employee contribution and accrual rates

This consultation paper sets out the government’s draft proposals to achieve short-term savings of £900 million within the local government pension scheme by 2014-15, equivalent to the 3.2% contribution increases in the unfunded public service pension schemes.
