This government consultation invites views on proposals to charge a fee for approval of offshore oil and gas installations and pipelines decommissioning programmes under the Petroleum Act 1998.

The consultation is expected to be of interest to business responsible for the operation of offshore oil and gas installations and pipelines, as they will be responsible for submitting such decommissioning programmes.

The consultation will run for 12 weeks and will close on 22 June 2011.
