Equality Scheme for Department for Culture, Media and Sport
This consultation invites views on the Department for Culture, Media and Sport's Equality Scheme as required under Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.
Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 requires public authorities, in carrying out their functions relating to Northern Ireland, to have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity and regard to the desirability of promoting good relations across a range of categories outlined in the Act.
In our Equality Scheme we set out how DCMS proposes to fulfil the Section 75 duties.
The consultation invites views on the key aspects of the Equality Scheme, including the arrangements for carrying out consultations, carrying out screenings and equality impact assessments, monitoring, training, and ensuring access to information and services.
