Balance of competences review: Culture, tourism and sport

The Government is carrying out a review of the balance of competences between the EU and the UK. This is an audit of what the EU does and how it affects the UK. You can read more about it here.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport is leading the review on the EU’s competence in relation to culture, tourism and sport. Culture, tourism and sport are key drivers for social development and economic growth in the UK.

The review is your chance to inform the Government’s thinking on the EU issues that matter to you. As this is a UK wide review, we encourage contributions from across the UK, including Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the review is asked to send their written views by 7 August 2013 to balanceofcompetences@culture.gsi.gov.uk or complete the online survey.

The Department is working on the report now and we will publish it here as soon as it is ready.
