We are seeking views on implementation of the Port Security Regulations 2009 (PDF, 130KB) at the following ports:
- Barrow
- Cardiff
- Cromarty
- Firth
- Fowey
- Oban
- Peterhead
- Plymouth
- Shoreham
- Troon
The Port Security Regulations 2009 transpose Directive 2005/65/EC (PDF, 385KB) in the UK.
Directive 2005/65/EC requires the:
- designation of a port security authority
- appointment of a port security officer
- completion of a port security risk assessment
- creation of a port security plan
The draft designation orders append plans outlining the area which the port security authority will cover.
