These Regulations bring into force section 50 of the Infrastructure Act 2015 (c. 7) (“the Act”) for the purpose only of the duty to make provision by regulations to define “protected groundwater source areas” and “other protected areas” in section 4A of the Petroleum Act 1998 (c. 17). In consequence, the Secretary of State is required to lay a draft of such regulations before Parliament by 31st July 2015.
