The Zoonoses (Amendment) (Wales) Order 2021

This Order amends the Zoonoses Order 1989 (S.I. 1989/285) (“the Order”) for the following purposes—to add severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) to the organisms designated for the purposes of section 29 of the Animal Health Act 1981 (c. 22) (organisms to which specified provisions of that Act apply). The designation of SARS-CoV-2 applies in relation to cases where that organism is carried in mammals (article 3);to add the particulars of the reporting requirement in relation to SARS-CoV-2 (article 5);to prescribe the particulars to be included in a signed report in relation to Echinococcus multilocularis under article 8A of the Order (article 6).
