The Virgin Islands Constitution (Interim Amendment) (Revocation) Order 2026
This Order revokes the Virgin Islands Constitution (Interim Amendment) Order 2022 (S.I. 2022/627) (“the 2022 Order”), which allowed for certain provisions of the Constitution of the Virgin Islands to be suspended, in particular those relating to ministerial government and the House of Assembly. It provided for certain offices to be vacated, including that of the Premier, and for the dissolution of the House of Assembly. It also made temporary provision for the government of the Virgin Islands by the Governor. The 2022 Order was made but never brought into force.
