The Uncertificated Securities (Amendment and EU Exit) Regulations 2019

These Regulations amend the Uncertificated Securities Regulations (S.I. 2001/3755) (“the USR”) to revoke certain provisions which overlap with requirements now the subject of the Central Securities Depositories Regulations 2017 (S.I. 2017/1064) (“the 2017 Regulations”).

In accordance with sections 784(3) and 1290 of the Companies Act 2006, paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972and paragraphs 1(1) and 12 of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, a draft of these Regulations was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
