The Transfrontier Shipment of Waste (Amendment) Regulations 2014
These Regulations amend the Transfrontier Shipment of Waste Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/1711) (“the principal Regulations”), which enforce Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 on shipments of waste (OJ No L 190, 12.7.2006, p.1) (“the EU Regulation”). They extend to the United Kingdom.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State, who is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972in relation to the environment, the prevention, reduction and elimination of pollution caused by wasteand the control of the import and export of goods, makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.
