The Sea Fisheries (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2025
These Regulations make amendments to assimilated law with regard to exemptions from the ‘landing obligation’ (the requirement to land catches of certain fish stocks and count them against quota) contained in Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013 (EUR 2013/1380).

the 2020 Act The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by Articles 11(1) and 16(8) ofof the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a multiannual plan for demersal stocks in the North Sea and the fisheries exploiting those stocks, specifying details of the implementation of the landing obligation in the North Sea, and in exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1)(b) and (c), (4)(a), (c) and (d) and (6)(a) and (c) of the Fisheries Act 2020(“”), makes the following Regulations. Regulation (EU) 2018/973 In accordance with section 41(1) of the 2020 Act, the Secretary of State has consulted the Welsh Ministers, the Scottish Ministers, the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in Northern Ireland and such other persons as appear to the Secretary of State likely to be affected by the measures made under section 36(1)(b) and (c), (4)(a), (c) and (d) and (6)(a) and (c) of the 2020 Act contained in these Regulations, as the Secretary of State considers appropriate.
