The Road Vehicles and Non-Road Mobile Machinery (Type Approval) (Amendment) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2019
These Regulations amend the Road Vehicles and Non-Road Mobile Machinery (Type Approval) (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (S.I. 2019/648) (“the principal Regulations”) to vary the date for commencement of Part 3 of that instrument (which provides for amendments under the European Communities Act 1972 (c. 68) to be made to definitions in the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 (S.I. 1981/154 (N.I. 1)). This is necessary due to the late making of the principal Regulations such that Part 3 would not properly commence before exit day.

The Secretary of State is designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of that Act in relation to the regulation of the type, description, construction or equipment of vehicles, and of components of vehicles, and in particular any vehicle type-approval scheme.
