The Network and Information Systems Regulations 2018
These Regulations implement Directive (EU) 2016/1148 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning measures for a high common level of security of network and information systems across the Union (OJ No L194, 19.7.2016, p1).

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of, and paragraph 1Aof Schedule 2 to, the 1972 Act and by section 56 of the Finance Act 1973(“the 1973 Act”) and, in the case of section 56 of the 1973 Act, with the consent of the Treasury.
