The Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Juxtaposed Controls) (Amendment) Order 2024
This Order amends the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Juxtaposed Controls) Order 2003 (S.I. 2003/2818) to permit officers of the French Republic to escort detained persons between Control Zones at juxtaposed control sea ports via permitted Circulation Areas while exercising their official functions and to carry their service weapons while doing so.

the 2002 Act The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 141 of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002(“”). The Secretary of State has consulted with such persons as appear to him to be appropriate in accordance with section 141(5)(b) of the 2002 Act. A draft of this Order was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 141(5)(c) of the 2002 Act.
