The Marking of Retail Goods Regulations 2025
These Regulations require the Secretary of State to issue a marking notice requiring that the retail goods specified in that notice be individually marked with the words ‘not for EU’, where the supply of certain retail goods to Northern Ireland is, or is likely to be adversely affected.

Enabling power
The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8C(1)(c) of the European Union Withdrawal Act 2018. In accordance with paragraphs 8F(1) and (2) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, a draft of this instrument has been laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
