The M48 Motorway (Severn Bridge Crossing) (Temporary Prohibition and Restriction of Traffic) Order 2026
This Order authorises the temporary prohibition and restriction of traffic on specified lengths of the M48 motorway (Severn Bridge Crossing) from 6th July 2026 and ending when the works have been completed or after 18 months, whichever is sooner, because works are proposed to be carried out.

The Secretary of State has also had regard to the existence of alternative routes suitable for the traffic which will be affected by this Order in accordance with section 14(3) of the Act.
