The Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (Legal Aid: Domestic Abuse) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Order 2025

This Order amends Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (c. 10) (“the Act”) and secondary legislation under the Act in relation to the provision of legal aid for certain cases involving domestic abuse.

the Act The Lord Chancellor makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9(2), 12(2) and (3)(e) and (g), 14(h) and 41(1)(a) and (b), (2)(a) and (b) and (3)(b) and (c) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012 (“”). A draft of this Order has been laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 41(6) and (7)(a) of the Act.
