The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Commencement No. 19) Order 2014
This Order brings into force on 15th January 2015 paragraph 10 of Schedule 8 to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (c. 14), which repeals paragraph 12 of Schedule 3 to the Health Act 1999 (c. 8). Paragraph 12 of Schedule 3 to the Health Act 1999 imposes a restriction on the power to make an order under section 60 of that Act, which is an order regulating, or modifying the regulation of, health and care professions in the United Kingdom (“section 60 order”). The restriction limits the extent to which section 60 orders can deal with the regulation of the pharmacy profession in Northern Ireland, and the commencement of its repeal has the effect of removing that limitation.
