The Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020 (Commencement No. 1) Regulations 2020
These Regulations commence the Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020 (c. 18) (“the Act”), other than section 2 which commenced upon Royal Assent. Regulation 2 brings section 1 of the Act and its Schedule (power of arrest for extradition purposes) into force on IP completion day, save for paragraph 4 of the Schedule which is brought into force (so far as it applies to Norway and Iceland only) immediately after IP completion day.

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 2(4) and (5) of the Extradition (Provisional Arrest) Act 2020.
