The Equality Act 2010 (Code of Practice on Services, Public Functions and Associations) (Revocation) Order 2026
The Commission for Equality and Human Rights has the power under Part 1 of the Equality Act 2006 (c. 3) to issue a Code of Practice in connection with any matter addressed by the Equality Act 2010 (c. 15), and also to request the Secretary of State to revoke a Code of Practice. The Secretary of State can then revoke a Code of Practice by order.

Enabling power
the 2006 Act In accordance with section 15(3) of the Equality Act 2006 (“”), the Commission for Equality and Human Rights has requested the Secretary of State to revoke the Equality Act 2010 Code of Practice on Services, Public Functions and Associations which came into force on 6th April 2011. The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(3) of the 2006 Act.
