The Enterprise Act 2002 (Amendment of Section 58 Considerations) Order 2025
Articles 2 and 3 of this Order amend the Enterprise Act 2002 (c. 40) (“the Act”) to extend the application of media public interest considerations in section 58(2A), (2B) and (2C)(a) of the Act which the Secretary of State may take into account when considering whether to intervene in a merger under Chapters 2 or 3 of Part 3 of the Act.

The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 58(3) and (4), 58A(9) and 124(2) and (4) of the Enterprise Act 2002.
